Manuela will lead GHO’s sustainable investment strategy, driving the integration of ESG considerations within the investment process and portfolio value creation plans
London, UK – Global Healthcare Opportunities, or GHO Capital Partners LLP, the European specialist investor in global healthcare, announces the appointment of Manuela Rankine as Director of Sustainable Investing. In this newly created role, Manuela will be responsible for implementing GHO’s sustainable investment strategy, reporting directly to Senior Leadership as part of GHO’s commitment to ESG integration across the investment lifecycle.
Since inception, ESG principles have been at the heart of GHO’s approach. GHO’s purpose-driven investment model targets opportunities that enable the delivery of better, faster and more accessible healthcare. This is supported by a commitment to considering Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors to mitigate risk, make better investment decisions and build sustainable businesses of strategic global value.
As the next step in this journey, GHO has created the new role of Director of Sustainable Investing in order to further institutionalise this commitment and continue to drive impact across its portfolio.
Manuela will lead the integration of ESG considerations throughout the GHO investment process, including screening and due diligence, monitoring and value creation, and preparation for exit. In this role, Manuela will work closely with the GHO portfolio to set ambitious sustainability targets, leveraging her prior expertise as an investment professional to drive their delivery.
Manuela’s remit will also include the measurement and articulation of the social value delivered throughout GHO’s strategy.
Previously, Manuela spent seven years in the investment team at GHO. Prior to GHO, Manuela was part of the healthcare M&A team at Barclays Capital in London.
