Julia leads Responsible Investing at GHO Capital, playing a key leadership role in shaping and advancing the firm’s responsible investment strategy. Working closely with the Executive Leadership Team, operational heads, and the investment team she supports the integration of Responsible Investing across the investment lifecycle – strengthening long-term value creation and delivering on GHO’s Purpose: Better, Faster and More Accessible Healthcare.
With over 28 years of experience across corporate, government, and investment sectors, Julia specialises in transformation, M&A, and purpose-led growth. During her 14 years at Centrica, the FTSE 100 energy company, she led the integration of major transactions including the £2.2bn acquisition of British Energy and multiple North American deals. As Global Head of Sustainable Business, she also founded Ignite – the UK’s first corporate energy impact fund – growing its initial £10m commitment into a £100m platform focused on delivering financial, social, and environmental returns.
Over the last decade, Julia has advised leading corporates, financial institutions, and investors on embedding responsible business practices into core strategy, drawing on behavioural science and organisational change principles. She co-founded the Performance Purpose Group, served as a Senior Advisor to Blueprint for Better Business, and contributed to initiatives such as the UK Government’s mission-led business review and Cambridge University’s Capitalism on the Edge series. She also founded the Generative Leaders Podcast, exploring leadership, systems change, and purpose.
Julia holds an MBA and has lived and worked in Houston, Texas.
