Alistair MacDonald

Alistair is a 30 year veteran of the biopharmaceutical industry with executive and operational experience across Manufacturing, Consulting, Clinical and Commercial sectors.

Previously, Alistair was Chief Executive Officer of Syneos Health (Previously INC Research), a NASDAQ listed, global CRO with 29,000 employees and operations across 100+ countries. Prior to becoming CEO, he held a number of roles across the business globally, including leadership of Clinical Development, Global Oncology, Business Development & Alliance Management plus a number of roles driving Operational excellence. Prior to INC Research/Syneos Health, he worked as a Manager of Operations Consulting for Bovis Lendlease Consulting across US, Europe and Asia.  He previously worked at Novartis, as Technical Manager of Solid Dose Operations preceded by a variety of Production Management positions.  Alistair began his career at CCL Pharmaceuticals where he held responsibilities across Manufacturing, Shift Management and Validation in a dynamic CDMO operation.

He served as a Director and Chairman on the Association of Clinical Research Organizations Board of Directors, and is a board member of the Medicines Discovery Catapult Foundation. He served on the Board of Directors of Syneos Health.
